  REVIEW:

Girls Gone Wild goes Extra-Large with Wild Hogs  . . . okay, not really.

The movie is filled with an amazing ensemble cast of John Travolta (the rich guy), Tim Allen (the frustrated family man), Martin Lawrence (hates his job) and William H. Macy (the dork).  The group, The Wild Hogs, has their own little motorcycle “gang”…which to them means four guys that ride their bikes to a local sports bar once a week.  During one of their routine visits to the bar, they decide they should find some adventure and should hit the road and see the world. Well, that is if a couple of them can get permission from their wives to go.  They head out on an adventure filled with drama and life altering moments that, for the audience, are just plain fun!

In spite of its big star-studded cast, Wild Hogs is most like Tim Allen’s typical movies.  It’s got his notorious goofy, silly comedy, complete with punch lines you can see coming from outer space.   But, unlike most Tim Allen movies, Wild Hogs is actually quite enjoyable.  In spite of the awkward comedy, it's just such a great idea - aging buddies taking a break from their lives to look for adventure - you have to like it.  Plus, the characters are so likable that you want to like it.  John Travolta probably doesn’t say anything funny in the entire movie, but it’s so contrary to his typical role and so self-deprecating that you’ll laugh at him the whole time.  A few surprising cameo appearances round out a mindless but very fun film.

On the Movie Night Traffic Light on a scale of GREEN meaning “Go – it’s a must see”, YELLOW meaning “Caution – it’s okay” and RED meaning “No - stop don’t do it."

We rate Wild Hogs GREEN.  Go – this one is a really fun movie
